Industrial/Organizational Psychology
Department of Psychology

Welcome to the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at Roosevelt University. It is truly an exciting time to be involved in our program. For more information about our faculty, click on the “Faculty” link. For more information about what our students are up to, check out the website for our very active I/O M.A. graduate student organization by clicking the “RIOPA” link.

Our M.A. program (now nearly 20 years old!) continues to grow. We currently have about 100 students completing their degrees at our Chicago and Schaumburg campuses (you can complete the entire degree at either campus). The program follows the “scientist/practitioner” model common in I/O programs, and consists of a series of courses and a choice of practicum or thesis capstone. For more information about the courses students take, click on the “Courses” link. For more information about the practicum (internship) or thesis (research) capstone options, click on the “Practicum and Thesis Packets” area of the menu.

We are very excited to announce the creation of a Ph.D. program in I/O Psychology scheduled to begin in Fall 2011. This new program will be a great addition to our outstanding M.A. degree program. Further, we have started an on-campus I/O Consulting Center to facilitate the process of matching students with applied experiences during their graduate programs. For more information on what the I/O Consulting Center is up to, click on the “Consulting Center” link.

On behalf of our faculty, we thank you for your interest in our I/O Psychology program. We hope these materials aid in your decision making process as you search for a “good fit” in an I/O program. If you have additional questions after reading these materials please let myself or other faculty know and we will gladly answer them. In the meantime, good luck in your pursuit of your I/O graduate degree!
